Tillamook County Creamery Association Names New VP Of Operations

TILLAMOOK, Ore.  – Tillamook County Creamery Association (Tillamook), which makes the No. 1 selling natural cheese brand in the West, has added William Tennant Jr., as vice president of operations.

Tennant brings more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry to Tillamook, where he will build on the company’s efforts to ensure the highest quality, most consistent dairy products possible, including its award-winning medium cheddar, other natural cheeses, butter, sour cream and yogurt.

With vast experience in materials planning, strategic sourcing and new product development for major initiatives and brands, Tenant will work to optimize Tillamook’s manufacturing performance, create an effective supply chain management program and evaluate new systems for ensuring consistency of product quality.

Prior to joining Tillamook, Tennant served as vice president of operations of Ricos Products in San Antonio, Texas, a premier supplier of snack foods to more than 40 countries worldwide. While at Ricos, Tennant was responsible for all aspects of operations, including manufacturing, quality and customer service. Previously, Tennant held a variety of positions with Pepsi-Co Frito Lay for more than a decade, including senior group manager, new product development, innovation and strategic sourcing. There he worked on such brands as Quaker, Lays Kettle Chips, Obertos and others, leading new product development, packaging, productivity, facilities management, and forecasting.

Tennant graduated with a master’s degree in agricultural economics from Texas Tech University and a bachelor’s degree in agricultural education from Texas A&M University.
