Aljomar Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary

This year Aljomar celebrates its 25 anniversary with Chef Martin Berasategui (8 Michelin stars) taking on the role of brand ambassador.

Jamones Aljomar, Iberico pork ham and meat producer based in Guijuelo  – in the Salamanca area – was present at the Fancy Food show in NY this year (06/30 > 02/07 Javits Center).

In 1969 Alfonso Sanchez and his wife Carmen opened their first store of Iberico products in the Triana district of Seville, under the name “La Salmantina”. This emblematic business, the seed of the Aljomar company, is still opened today.

25 years ago the dream shared by Alfonso and Carmen Sanchez to produce their own Iberico products started to become reality. On 7th December 1992, Aljomar was born.

Today, this Spanish family business is a leader and one the fewest companies in the Iberico industry in Spain to be fully integrated. They operate in more than 30 countries world-wide, and their non hidden dream is to become a reference brand in the U.S. market with their famous ‘Acorn-fed Hams’  as well known in Spanish as  ‘Jamón de Bellota’.
