Since day one we've been committed supporting humane animal husbandry. That's why we're VERY excited to announce that we have gone even further in our efforts by partnering with Global Animal Partnership 's 5 Step Animal Welfare Rating Program!
It is a vigorous and hugely important effort dedicated to promoting continuous improvement to the welfare of farm animals, and to providing shoppers with more information about where their food comes from. Our line of Americano pre-sliced meats are now certified Step 3, which requires that pigs live in an enriched environment with unrestricted daytime outdoor access, and are handled in a humane and low-stress environment.
