Montchevré Earns Two Awards At The US Championship Cheese Contest

Belmont, Wisconsin – Montchevré is excited to announce that two of their cheeses were granted Top Awards at the United States Championship Cheese Contest last week. 

Montchevré’s goat milk brie has a rind that is made of a white penicillium mold, this white velvet-like exterior protects a soft, oozing, and creamy inside that has a smooth and delicate taste. Montchevré’s Mini Cabrie brought home “Best in Class” in the Surface Ripened Goat’s Milk Cheese Category with a score of 99.75.

Montchevré prides itself in excelling in soft ripened cheeses as well as fresh cheeses. Their fresh and clean tasting fresh goat cheese is the perfect base for tasty Peppadews. The Montchevré peppadew goat cheese has a nice and flavorful kick that was awarded a score of 99.35 and a third place finish in the flavored soft goats milk cheese category.
