New Cheese Recall: Washington State Company Pulls Mexican-Style Cheese

The Food and Drug Administration announced a new cheese recall today — its third this month.

Del Bueno, located in Grandview, Wash., is pulling four Mexican-style cheeses over fears they’re contaminated with listeria, a bacteria that can cause fatal infections in those with weakened immune systems and produce miscarriages or stillbirths among pregnant women.

The recall covers all packages of its Queso Fresco Fresh Cheese, Queso Panela Fresh Cheese, Requeson Mexican Style Ricotta Cheese and Queso Enchilado Dry Cheese.
