Plymouth, Wisconsin – Sartori Company is proud to announce that CEO Jim Sartori and President Jeff Schwager have won the 2013 Midwest Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Family Business Award of Excellence. Awards are given to entrepreneurs who create and build market-leading businesses, take the standard of excellence to new heights, transform the face of their industry, create jobs and contribute to the vibrancy of their communities.
This was the inaugural year for the Family Business Award of Excellence Category. In addition to the criteria above, this award was created to recognize leaders of outstanding entrepreneurial families with a culture and tradition of successfully balancing business and family issues.
“It is a tremendous honor to be awarded the first ever Family Business Award of Excellence,” says Jim Sartori. “For nearly 75 years family has been a guiding core value of ours and really the foundation of our success. In many ways you find that when you treat people right, like family, with a little hard work all the other things fall into place.”
Schwager and Sartori are now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur of The Year National Awards, which will be presented in November 2013 in Palm Springs, CA. Regionally and nationally, winners are chosen by past victors, industry leaders and business executives.
“Jim and I are humbled to have won this year’s award,” says Jeff Schwager. “We want to thank our team members, patron farm families and loyal customers. Through their support, we continue to fuel our mission to craft the best cheese in the world.”
