FloraHolland Regrets Plantion's Decision

Floraholland – It looks like the discussion about the mutual exemption policy between FloraHolland and Plation flower auction would find its way to the Courtroom. This was the choice taken by Plantion. The preference of FloraHolland was always to achieve mutual agreements within the framework of collaboration; this step would harm this way of doing business.

The collaboration agreement between FloraHolland and Plantion exists already several years. It provides the members of each organisation the free access to the other cooperative’s clocks.
There is indeed a difference of interpretation of this agreement as to the direct transactions by FloraHolland members with customers that are registered clients of both organisations. According to FloraHolland it is not necessary to activate such transactions through Plantion’s administration. The current agreement is not clear at this point.
FloraHolland seeks to come to a mutual agreement on this point within the framework of the current collaboration agreement, and will do everything possible to maintain the mutual exemption policy as to the clock supplies.

During the General Members Meeting of 7 June the FloraHolland’s chairman Bernard Oosterom answered to members’ questions and made it clear that there is no connection between this dispute and the rejection by Plantion of the proposal to merge with FloraHolland. “The merging is not anymore on the agenda”, said Oosterom.
