Kneppers Rozen is a modern Kenyan rose nursery that’s rapidly on the rise. The company is in the hands of a pair of brothers: Jack Kneppers runs the nursery in Naivasha, which expanded from 24 to 36 hectares (59 to 89 acres) in 2007, while Richard Kneppers, working from their premises at FloraHolland’s Rijnsburg location, assumes responsibility for rose handling and sales. More than 60 million Kneppers roses a year are dispatched via FloraHolland clock sales or direct selling. As a company, Kneppers focuses on quality and custom services. A wide range is offered: Quintet, Lovely Jewel, Mariyo, Maji Moto, H3O, Ensemble, Viva, Red Ribbon and Sonrisa. In terms of the colour spectrum, then, a full house. Enticed by the ideal growing conditions in Kenya, Kneppers Rozen decided to locate there in 2003. However, their quality control remains thoroughly Dutch. Truly the best of both worlds!
