Christmas always comes in May for me, with the arrival of a huge box of plants from Proven Winners. My garden is one of the company's test plots, where they introduce new plants and study their success rates.
After a summer season spent with last May's new annuals, I thought I'd liven up this period of post-holiday doldrums by talking about some of the new varieties that should be hitting retail shelves this season.
