Selecta Klemm was awarded as “breeder of the year“ with the Rabensteiner Award 2010 for breeding double flowering Osteospermum. At this year’s TASPO Awards – the “Oscar” of the green industry – which were presented for the fifth time, the German horticulture magazine TASPO honoured the achievements of companies and people in the green market. With our world novelty double flowering Osteospermum we were able to convince the judges and stand up to the competition. Our head of breeding Dr. Andrea Dohm proudly received the award during the special event in Berlin. Unlike other Asteraceae flowers the Osteospermum had only been available as normal flowering plants until Selecta was able to present the first double flowering plants in 2010. In the season 2010/2011 we start offering four varieties with double flowers in white, silver, pink and purple. They will be integrated in our successful FlowerPower® line.
