Stamina Flowers Offers Flowers Cut Fresh From The Farm

Chadds Ford, PA — Stamina Flowers is pleased to announce that fresh grown flowers are now in season, and are available online for overnight delivery from www.staminaflowers.com. With the rapidly changing dynamic of the fast paced floral industry, Stamina Flowers identified the need to be able to offer specialty cut flowers to customers who can benefit from the efficiencies of the internet, combined with the cost effective service provided by overnight couriers.

Stamina Flowers has combined the knowledge of the global flower market with the skills of a local technology group. The outcome is an efficient responsive organization that can deliver fresh cut flowers with minimum lead time. “We strive to source varieties of flowers that will inspire designers, and give a new and competitive look to their arrangements. We do this with a commitment to supplying excellent value at all times”, says Richard Currie owner of Stamina.

The flowers are hand cut in the field while still in bud, brought to “grading stations” where they are graded, bunched and boxed. The flowers then go immediately into a refrigeration unit on site. The boxes are then shipped several times a week in refrigerated trucks, mostly to distributors in NYC and other major North East Flower Markets.

Styers Peonies is one of the established brand flowers on the site. In the early 1900s’ Peonies were found in many gardens in the USA, but not in flower shops. Botanist J. Franklin Styer, a Pennsylvania Quaker, started growing and marketing Peonies to florists in New York, thinking the gentry of the time would be interested in purchasing these Victorian beauties, commercially.

Styers Peonies can be found gracing the tables of State Diners at the White House, major social functions and weddings in major metropolitan centers, as well as some far off places like Saudi Arabia. Styers Peonies once traveled to a “Cold War” Summit Conference on Air Force one with President Reagan.

Today, Styers harvests Peonies on a 60 acre farm in the town of Seneca, plus three (3) locations in Chester County Pennsylvania, including Kennett Square, West Grove and Upper Oxford Township and Federalsburg, Maryland.

Currie believes that the site is providing designers with quality fresh flowers, particularly at a time when the flower wholesale industry is consolidating. "We aimed to give people better quality and more focused choice than they could get elsewhere but with greater confidence resulting from a selection of premier growers," he says. "As they get more confident, they're prepared to buy more." Stamina Flowers is positively blooming.
