Cargill's Rumba Meats Sweepstakes Grand Prize Winner Announced

WICHITA, Kan. — Cargill today announced Adrianna Alvarez-Sifuentes of Arlington, Texas, is the grand prize winner of its Rumba® specialty meats brand "Warmth of Home" consumer sweepstakes. Alvarez-Sifuentes was awarded the grand prize of $5,000 during a surprise event at her home with family and neighbors present.

"I cannot believe that I was the lucky winner," said Sifuentes. "I thank Rumba for the prize and for the fresh products they provide at my local supermarket." Sifuentes plans to use the prize money to help pay for home repairs.

Cargill launched the Rumba brand "Warmth of Home" sweepstakes as its first national bilingual promotion at the end of 2010. In addition to the grand prize, 98 additional $500 cash prizes were awarded. During the promotion, select product packages also included $1.00 off coupons toward the purchase of Rumba products.

"We continue to seek ways to engage consumers with the brand and generate more business for our retail partners," said Rumba meats Brand Manager Meredith McGowan. "This promotion has achieved both goals."

Developed specifically with the tastes and preferences of multicultural consumers in mind, the Rumba brand consists of 33 fresh, never frozen beef and pork specialty meat cuts that are conveniently available in mainstream groceries. The convenient grab-and-go, easy-open packaging makes the Rumba brand consumers' ideal choice for preparing their favorite traditional meals.
