TWIN FALLS – A 500-person blind taste test yielded a national award for Independent Meat Co. of Twin Falls.
Falls Brand Old Fashioned Mild Smoked Sausage won the National Meat Association’s 2012 “Hold The Mustard Award” at the MEATXPO ’12 in Tucson, Ariz.
“We are very proud of our Old Fashioned sausage products, and we are always happy to receive compliments. It’s usually one customer at a time,” Independent Meat CEO Patrick Florence said in a release.
The contest’s nine entries represented sausage makers from across the U.S.
