A partnership with bigg's in 2007 helped HoneyBaked Ham launch a new line of business selling hams, turkeys, pulled pork and its famous ham salad in grocery stores nationwide.
Now, those grocery aisle kiosks have landed in seven local Kroger stores, a move that HoneyBaked executives say offers a larger opportunity for growth.
"Bigg's allowed us to really learn and then take the concept to other markets," says Craig Kurz, CEO of Mason-based HoneyBaked Ham of Ohio and grandson of the company's founder. "The partnership with Kroger allows us to reach more people, and is the right thing for the market and the brand."
