National Beef Seeks Workers After $5 Million Expansion

HUMMELS WHARF — National Beef Packing Co. is hiring again, less than a year after announcing a $5 million expansion at its Valley processing facility.

The company has been advertising for production jobs, but how many are open or whether they’re new positions isn’t clear. Calls to officials at the local meat processing plant and the company headquarters in Kansas City weren’t returned Wednesday.

In November, the company announced it was investing $5 million in new technology and equipment and adding 25 to 30 new positions at the Hummels Wharf plant.
