Prairie Grove Farms has filled the newly created role of General Manager with strong external talent to lead and support the company’s aggressive growth initiatives by hiring industry veteran Ernest J. Davis Jr.
Davis will lead the organization’s sales and marketing functions as well as overseeing all business operations including product development, farmer relations and operations. Davis’ more than 20 years of meat industry leadership experience includes servings as Vice President , National Accounts for Coleman Natural Foods where he led the sales efforts for top retailers including Kroger, Ahold, Delhaize, Topco and Safeway.
Prior to that, Davis held other key roles at Coleman Natural Foods including National Vice President, Deli Sales; Eastern Vice President, Sales and Regional Sales Manager and started his career at Kunzler & Company.
“It is an optimal time to join and lead Prairie Grove Farms,” said Davis. “The brand is poised for rapid growth given increased consumer awareness and desire for pork raised without the use of antibiotics.”
