Grocery Vet Plans To Sell Fresh-Cut Fruits In Loveland, CO Shop

LOVELAND — A Loveland man who has worked in the grocery industry for 30 years is striking out on his own with the creation of a downtown fresh-fruit shop.

Robert Kast plans to open Fresh Cut Fruits at 528 N. Cleveland Ave. by May 1.

The name of his business spells out what he's going to offer: fresh fruits (and vegetables), cut daily.

He plans to sell 16- to 32-ounce cups, as well as 3-pound and 5-pound trays. The cups will contain a wide variety of bite-size chunks of fruits: watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, red and green grapes, as well as strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries.
