Indianapolis Fruit Co. Hosts 27th Annual Golf Outing & Tradeshow; Attracts Record Attendance

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Indianapolis Fruit Company hosted its 27th Annual Golf Outing and Tradeshow on July 21st & 22nd.  The yearly event brings together the wholesale distributor’s valued vendor & retail partners.  With over 100 vendor suppliers & 300 retail customers in attendance, the 2014 Golf Outing & Tradeshow was Indianapolis Fruit Company’s most actively attended event in company history; over 450 total guests enjoyed the 2-day expo.

The Produce Mom®, the official blog & consumer brand of Indianapolis Fruit Company, hosted a Welcome Party to kick off the event festivities. Members of The Produce Mom Family of Partners were entertained at the Indianapolis Colts Grille & enjoyed the opportunity to network, re-cap the 2014 achievements of The Produce Mom, and discuss brand goals and collaboration opportunities for the future.  Deidre Smyrnos, Viva Tierra Organic, said, “Viva Tierra Organic has been a long-standing partner of Indianapolis Fruit Company.  Through The Produce Mom, we are innovating and growing together.”

The Tradeshow took place at The Crane Bay Event Center in Downtown Indianapolis.  Indianapolis Fruit Company’s vendor partners displayed and sampled their products during the showcase, and relished the opportunity to interact with retailers.  "The opportunity to connect and demonstrate our product with our Indy Fruit Partners and Retailers makes this a worthwhile investment of our time and resources." said Diana McClean, Tanimura & Antle.

Retailers from Indianapolis Fruit Company’s 16-state delivery corridor attended the event.  A special appearance by Donnie Allison, NASCAR legend, & his grandson Justin Allison, rising star in the ARCA series, provided some Hoosier Hospitality and Indianapolis culture for the guests.  Chris Bonaminio, General Manager of Jungle Jim’s, praised the event, “The show was a testament to the way Indianapolis Fruit Company conducts business:  friendly, honest & top-of-the-line.”
