South Florida is the epicenter of a vivacious season of mangos, and the South Beach Mango Festival celebrates the lush tropical fruit season. The southern 100 miles of Florida are tropical, yielding a wide variety of tropical fruits and vegetables. Unlike most other fruits and foods, mangos are extremely delicate, don’t travel well, and for the best, one must come to the mangos. Often referred to as the King of Fruit, they truly occupy a special place in the hearts and minds of many. Last year, the Inaugural South Beach Mango Festival drew over 4,000 attendees.
