Mission Produce Inc., Oxnard CA, has announced the hiring of Jose Maldonado as their new Director of Global Logistics.
Jose comes to Mission from Dole Fresh Fruit International where he worked from Costa Rica and was responsible for vessel chartering, fuel supply contracts, commercial carrier contract/relations, commercial fleet operations budgeting, among other responsibilities.
Jose brings over 15 years of experience in global logistics and finance and will be tasked with ensuring that Mission avocados sourced from California, Mexico, Chile and Peru will be transported to our customers around the world.
Vice President of Distribution and Logistics, Jeremy Currier said, “Jose will manage our relationships with all major steam ship lines, from securing space on vessels to the negotiation of freight rates. We are excited to have Jose on board as Mission continues to execute is global business plan.”
