Leamington, Ontario – In the community with the largest concentration of greenhouses in North America, Nature Fresh Farms has taken top honors in 6 categories as a part of the annual “Hottest Tomato” and “Perfect Pepper” competitions presented by REACH International in this Tomato Capital of Canada event. The competition is part of the Leamington Agricultural Society Fair, now in its’ 150th. year.
With the tomato and pepper awards combined, Nature Fresh Farms won an impressive 6 trophies for its top-quality greenhouse vegetables competing against other greenhouse operators & marketers in the Leamington area. In the “Hottest Tomato” competition, Nature Fresh Farms took top honors in the following categories:
* Best Tomato on the Vine
* Best Specialty Tomato – "Passion" Orange Grape Tomato
Specialty grower Tyler Clark was on hand for the award ceremony. “We are extremely proud that our specialty tomato captured the top award- It is wonderful to see that the judges are as passionate about the Passion tomato as we are ” said Clark.
As the largest pepper grower in North America, with strong ongoing R& D, it is no surprise that Nature Fresh walked away with 4 top awards in the “Perfect Pepper” Competition:
* Best Overall Pepper
* Best Orange Bell (Sweet)
* Best Red Bell (Sweet)
* Best Specialty (Hot)
