Two leading fresh produce marketing firms have announced an exciting new campaign launching at this year’s PMA Fresh Summit in Atlanta. The Produce for Pink campaign unites the fresh produce industry's commitment to the fight against breast cancer and presents an opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives.
PMA Fresh Summit will welcome over 17,000 attendees in Atlanta and if each attendee gives just one dollar, Produce for Pink will make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. Supporters can make cash donations at central donation stations located on the show floor, and exhibitors are encouraged to include Produce for Pink donation boxes or promotional posters in their booths. All funds raised through Produce for Pink during PMA Fresh Summit 2011 will be donated to a local hospital in Atlanta to help those in immediate need of breast cancer treatment.
In addition, exhibitors and Fresh Summit attendees can support Produce for Pink by wearing pink – shirts, ties, shoes or accessories – on Saturday, October 15th to express their commitment to the cause.
DMA Solutions and McDill Associates are collaborating to make Produce for Pink a successful campaign. It is the goal of both companies to help grow the Produce for Pink campaign over the coming years as a way to cooperatively bring industry supporters of breast cancer awareness together. “This was a vision that Cindy Jewell of California Giant Berry Farms, long time supporters of breast cancer awareness, wanted to bring to life and we are excited to be a part of it,” states Dan’l Mackey Almy, president of DMA Solutions. “And we are proud to work with McDill, another leading marketing firm in fresh produce, to make it happen.”
