Tulare County pistachio processor Setton Farms announced that three of its products have been officially verified as non-genetically modified organisms.
The Non-GMO Project, which verified Setton Farm's salted and unsalted roasted pistachios as well as Pistachio Chewy Bites, is the only third-party verification organization that insures plants or animals have not been genetically engineered with DNA from bacteria, viruses or other animals and plants.
“We are very excited that we can officially announce to our consumers that we are Non-GMO Project verified,” said Terra Bella-based Setton Farms COO Mia Cohen. “Being Non-GMO is extremely important to us, and we are thrilled to offer our customers the assurance that our products are safe, ethical, and delicious.”
