WENATCHEE, Wash. – Stemilt Growers is partnering with two popular food bloggers this summer to deliver fresh and nutritious cherry recipes, and sweet prizes directly to consumers through a new sweepstakes. The #CherrySweet Summer Sweepstakes launched this week on the company’s website, blog, and social media channels in order to celebrate cherry season, and their many nutritious qualities.
“Our #Cherry Sweet Summer Sweeps is all about giving consumers what they’ve told us they want – healthy recipes for their favorite fruit of the summer – cherries,” said Brianna Shales, Stemilt communications manager. “We’ve partnered with two of our food blogger friends to serve up fresh cherry recipes and weekly prizes to consumers all summer long, in hopes of inspiring people to enjoy Stemilt cherries in new yet nutritious ways.”
Consumers that enter the sweepstakes will receive a weekly email from Stemilt throughout June and July that features a new and healthy cherry recipe created by either Carolyn Ketchum from All Day I Dream About Food, or Connie Ott from MiscFinds4U. The recipes will highlight the natural sweetness of Stemilt cherries, and will appeal to those following gluten free, low carb, or Paleo lifestyles. They will also highlight the many great nutritional qualities of Stemilt cherries, such as their ability to easy achy joints.
Carolyn from All Day I Dream About Food specializes in creating low carb, gluten free, and diabetic recipes – all of which Stemilt cherries naturally fit into. Her Gluten Free Cherry Pavlova is the first of four recipes that Stemilt will serve up to consumers through the #CherrySweet Summer Sweepstakes over the next two months.
Connie from MiscFinds4U is a DIY expert that has a great love for cherries, mostly due to the nutrition and health benefits they deliver. She’ll share her steps for juicing and preserving cherries in order to help consumers enjoy Stemilt cherries beyond the summer months.

Tapping into their experience and expertise will be a great way for us to get more Stemilt cherries in people’s hands this summer, and educate consumers about the many great health benefits that cherries provide. According to Shales, the #CherrySweet Summer Sweepstakes is one of many examples of how Stemilt is engaging directly with consumers about its apples, pears, cherries, and summer fruits.
