USA Pears Launches The ‘Pear-Fect Season For Green’ Pinterest Contest

PORTLAND, Ore. – Green is the color of spring, and the hue of one of the most abundant and versatile pears harvested by the growers of USA Pears – the Green Anjou. To herald the change of seasons and celebrate Green Anjous as an ingredient and accent for spring, the growers of USA Pears are hosting The Pear-fect Season for Green Pinterest contest with the best board winning $250 and a box of fresh Green Anjou pears.

From March 15th through May 11th, 2014, pinners are invited to create a Pinterest board inspired by the color green as seen in seasonal dishes, nature, home décor, art and landscapes.

To enter:

  • Follow USA Pears on Pinterest
  • Create a Pinterest board, and name it “Pear-fect Season for Green”
  • Fill it with at least 10 pins – a minimum of three must be repinned from USA Pears’ Pinterest boards
  • Tag all the pins on the board with #springforpears and #usapears
  • Repin the Pear-fect Season for Green contest pin

One lucky winner will receive $250 in green and a gift box of Green Anjou pears delivered to their door. Ten runners-up will also each win a gift box of pears. All winners will be selected by Pear Bureau Northwest/USA Pears, and will be announced by May 15, 2014. The winning board will be featured on USA Pears’ Pinterest page and website.
