Walmart stores has added fruits and vegetables to the list of items it will price match with its new Savings Catcher program.
The program, which began in several test markets in the spring, officially launched nationwide this morning but was working in many regions, including the Triangle, as early as last week.
In a nutshell, Savings Catcher allows customers to recoup their savings if a competing retailer offers a lower price on an item. Walmart refunds the difference in the form of an electronic Walmart gift card.
