Fresh Market Aims For Fall Opening Of Two Sacramento-Area Stores

The Fresh Market, the North Carolina-based specialty grocery retailer, said today that it will open two new stores in the Sacramento area this fall.

One will be in the Laguna Crossroads Shopping Center in Elk Grove, and the other will be at 2339 Fair Oaks Blvd., in Sacramento.

In October last year, the chain — often compared to Whole Foods –opened its first California store at Rocky Ridge Town Center, 2030 Douglas Blvd., in Roseville. More than 80 were hired for that store.

"We are excited about our continued expansion in California, and in the greater Sacramento area in particular, and we look forward to providing customers in the Fair Oaks and Elk Grove communities with the same quality products and excellent customer service that our shoppers experience in other markets," said Randy Kelley, senior vice president of real estate and development for The Fresh Market.
