Giant Food Stores said Thursday it will buy two Genuardi’s supermarkets in Bucks County., Pa.
The seller is Pleasanton, Calif.-based Safeway Inc. (NYSE:SWY), owner of Genuardi’s.
The stores are at 1055 Bustleton Pike in Feasterville and 389 Easton Road in Warrington.
Each store will close on Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. They will undergo renovations and reopen in the first three months of 2011under the Giant banner.
