Guckenheimer Food Service Adds Two New Executives

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.– Guckenheimer, the San Francisco Bay Area-based food service company that pioneered restaurant-quality cuisine and innovative nutrition programs in corporate dining, today announced two new executive appointments to head the expanding Southwest region. Rex Roe was appointed Vice President of Operations and Len Cerasoli, Director of Sales, effective immediately.

Formerly with Guckenheimer as Vice President of Special Projects in 2005, Roe rejoins the company with a longstanding and successful track record in food service operations. He spent 21 years at LSG Sky Chefs in business development for the in-flight food market and is credited with introducing innovations such as “Buy on Board,” and integrating restaurant brands to enrich the in-flight dining experience. As regional Vice President of Operations, Roe will lead growth and development as Guckenheimer extends its culinary and nutrition programs and custom menu creations to businesses throughout the Southwest. Roe graduated from the School of Hospitality at Michigan State University and trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park.

Guckenheimer also welcomes Cerasoli to the Southwest regional team as Director of Sales. Cerasoli worked 18 years at Sodexo in sales and operations as General Manager, District General Manager and Regional Sales Director where he consistently ranked among the top sales performers in the division and twice honored as Salesperson of the Year. He went on to own and operate several Five Guys locations throughout the Southeast, and the franchises under his leadership were consistently ranked in the top 10 percent for the popular chain. Cerasoli joins Guckenheimer from Unidine where he was responsible for Business Development in the Mid–Atlantic region. At Guckenheimer, Cerasoli will provide integrated solutions to Southwest businesses interested in improving employee health and nutrition through premium food service. Cerasoli graduated from the Hospitality, Resort & Culinary Management program at Paul Smith’s College.

In 2012, Guckenheimer opened 25 new client locations nationally and plans to open more than 45 locations in 2013.
