Grocery company SuperValu Inc. will consolidate its Xenia, Ohio, distribution operations with the Fort Wayne Distribution Center, 4815 Executive Blvd., the company said Thursday.
The Summit City facility spans more than 640,000 square feet, compared to 400,000 square feet at the Ohio location, which has 120 workers. It is unclear how many of those employees would locate to Fort Wayne.
SuperValu spokesman Mike Siemienas said the company is working with union officials in Xenia regarding workers there.
SuperValu, which owns the Sav-A-Lot brand, has 160 workers at the Fort Wayne site.
