OCI Continues To Seek Collaboration For Its Flatfish Business

ST. JOHN’S, NL – Martin Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer of Ocean Choice International (OCI) today announced that the Company, the Fishermen Food and Allied Workers Union (FFAW) and the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Government of Newfoundland met today to discuss the long-term viability of the flatfish business and OCI’s operations at Marystown.

“While we have engaged in extensive consultation over the past number of years with employees, the FFAW, and government we have not yet come to a viable solution and we will continue to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to find a model that will make this fishery viable,” said Martin Sullivan.
