Vernon, California – Preferred Freezer Services swift action in communicating a missing load of frozen shrimp was key in helping to recover the entire inventory of product for its customer.
Immediate action informing its seafood customer network about specific details of the stolen product stalled efforts long enough to recover the load. Preferred’s extensive security camera system along with its standard operating procedure to capture driver license information images assisted law enforcement to move quickly. In addition to speed, diligence and collaborating with the Vernon police, Preferred Freezer Services was able to help the investigation process by offering a $5,000.00 reward to locate the missing load.
The customer, Network Commodities, notified John Galiher, President and CEO of Preferred Freezer Services, that their load never completed the cross-country journey to its final destination in Gouldsboro, Pennsylvania. After receiving notification that the tractor-trailer that originated from Preferred Freezer Services of Vernon, John Galiher released a $5,000.00 reward along with the load numbers making it virtually impossible to store, hold or sell the 1,550 cases of frozen shrimp.
Collaboration between Roy Matthews, President and sole owner of Network Commodities LLC, the Vernon Police and Preferred Freezer Services resulted in the recovery of the goods less than 48 hours after the news was released. Equally important, the shrimp was successfully delivered to the customer, safe and without any damage to quality.
