The newly formed produce wholesaler, FresCo LLC, has recently purchased Units 258-259 on “Row B” of the Hunts Point Market, located in the Bronx, NY.
Proprietor Charlie DiMaggio started in the produce industry, working when he was a boy with his father, Vincent DiMaggio, who owned retail stores and was a purveyor in New York. Charlie “grew up on the market” and eventually worked for other companies on Hunts Point before he “happened to be at the right place at the right time.”
Before moving into the market, FresCo invested in state-of-the-art climate-controlled refrigeration with the most advanced software and video monitoring system to ensure food safety, traceability, and quality.
FresCo specializes in watermelon, tomatoes, citrus and Eastern and Mexican vegetables.
