American Cheese Society Honors Prairie Farms with Eight Awards

Five Prairie Farms’ cheese plants were among the top winners of the American Cheese Society Judging and Competition, the largest event of its kind for American-made cheeses. The award ceremony was held during the 39th Annual American Cheese Society Conference in Portland, Oregon, on July 20-23. This year’s competition featured cheeses from 196 companies with over 1,400 entries competing in 120 categories and tested by an esteemed panel of 30 judges.

American Cheese Society Awards Seven Medals to Tillamook County Creamery Association at Annual Competition

The Oregon-based farmer-owned co-operative and Certified B Corporation® Tillamook County Creamery Association (TCCA) won two Gold, two Silver and three Bronze awards at the 39th American Cheese Society (ACS) Judging and Competition. The ACS Competition is the largest event of its kind for American-made cheeses.

BelGioioso Cheese Awarded Four Medals at American Cheese Society Contest

Wisconsin based BelGioioso Cheese won four prestigious medals at the American Cheese Society’s 2022 Judging & Competition ceremony on July 21st, held during the annual “Blazing the Trail for Cheese” conference in Portland, Oregon.  The contest was competitive with 1,386 entries in 120 different categories, the largest event of its kind for American-made cheeses. BelGioioso Cheesemakers took home top honors in the Burrata, Crescenza, Mascarpone and Hard Grating Cheese categories.

Wisconsin Wins Quarter of All Awards at American Cheese Society Competition

Wisconsin cheese, butter and yogurt makers win the most awards of any state, totaling more than one-fourth (26%) of all awards at the 2022 American Cheese Society Judging and Competition in Portland, Ore. That’s twice the awards won by the next closest competing state.
