The North American Meat Institute (NAMI) will honor industry leaders at its Annual Awards Luncheon at the 2016 International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta, Georgia. The luncheon, which is scheduled to take place January 26, from 12  to 1:30 p.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center, will feature Meat Institute Board of Directors, key industry leaders, representatives from packer and processor companies and award nominees and their families. NAMI packer and processor members are welcome to attend as part of their complimentary registration in the Members to Atlanta program.  

National Pork Board Defines Antibiotic Research And Education Priorities

The National Pork Board today announced the seven members of its blue ribbon panel on antibiotics, an outcome of the Pork Checkoff’s stewardship plan first defined in June. The new, third-party panel includes experts with specific experience and knowledge in antibiotic practices or consumer marketing, but who are independent of National Pork Board practices.
