PORT ORANGE — With a distribution center serving Trader Joe’s set to open in Daytona Beach in June, a supplier for the national upscale grocery chain is looking at opening a commercial wholesale bakery in Volusia County.
John Wanamaker, a commercial real estate broker with Coldwell Banker Commercial AI Group, confirmed he is representing a supplier of baked goods for Trader Joe’s that is looking for a “moderate”-size site. The plant could employ up to 50 workers, he said.
Wanamaker said he was unable to publicly identify the company because of a confidentiality agreement and the request of his client.
