Electrolux Professional Teams Up with Jamie Oliver for a “Food Revolution”

ABC has teamed with chef, TV personality and bestselling author Jamie Oliver for an unscripted series airing Fridays beginning March 26, 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET for six one-hour episodes.

In the series, Jamie Oliver heads to Huntington, WV which has been called the unhealthiest city in America — to start his new cooking initiative. He hopes his efforts will help get Huntington off that list and start a chain reaction of positive change across the country.

The series is loosely based on Olivers U.K. series, Jamies Ministry of Food and Jamies School Dinners, which showed his successful grassroots efforts improve the school lunches in communities there. In America, hes turning his attention to helping people of all ages eat more balanced meals and cook with fresh ingredients, not only at schools, but also homes, workplaces and even restaurants.

Electrolux Professional North America has teamed up with Oliver and Pastor Steve Willis of First Baptist Church in Kenova, WV. Electrolux Professional, Willis and members of his congregation worked to build a healthy kitchen in their new community center adjacent to the First Baptist Church in Kenova. The kitchen includes an Electrolux Professional dishmachine, refrigerators, S90 Range series and an air-o-convect hybrid convection oven. The kitchen is open for the community to use on an ongoing basis for groups upwards of 300 people. Electrolux Professional Certified Chef Keith Jones trained the staff on site.
