ABA Says Farewell To Three Board Members, Welcomes Four More

 WASHINGTON, D.C. The American Bakers Association bids farewell to three members of the Board of Directors and welcomes four more.

Longtime ABA Board member and former ABA Chairman Kenneth “Chip” Klosterman, President of Klosterman Baking Company, cycled off the Board following the April 2013 meeting in Aventura, Fla. Chip has been one of the most active voices on the Board since he joined in March 1996.

Another former ABA Chairman, Ron Turano of Turano Baking Company, also left the Board following the April 2013 meeting. Ron will be replaced by his nephew, Joe Turano, President of Turano Baking, as Ron returns to his post in the Italian Senate.

Effective as of March 2013, Rick McGrath joins the ABA Board of Directors in his new post as ATBI President. Rick, a Senior Vice President at Lockton Companies, replaces former ATBI President, Tim Miller, Senior Vice President of Sales, Cereal Food Processors, Inc.

ABA is also pleased to welcome Marc Albers, President and Chief Operating Officer of United States Bakery, and Kevin McDonough, President of Interbake Foods, to the Board of Directors. Both will begin their tenure as Board members as of the June 2013 Board meeting.

The ABA Board of Directors is comprised of top leaders from across the baking industry. Board members volunteer their time to develop consensus policies that improve the government environment and overall health of the baking industry. Robin Alton, President & CEO of Pan-o-Gold Baking, currently serves as the Board’s Chairman through March 2014.
