Franz Doubles The Size Of Its Nampa, Idaho Bakery

BOISE, IDAHO – Franz Bakery, the largest independent, family-owned bakery on the West Coast, is doubling the size of its Nampa, Idaho bakery. Franz purchased the Harvest Classic Bakery in Nampa in August 2010. Since the purchase, Franz has added a retail outlet store on site and is adding 25,000 square feet of additional space, for a total of 50,000 square feet. The bakery expansion, built by Benchmark Construction, is slated for completion later this summer. There are currently 28 employees at the Nampa bakery.

"The expansion at our Nampa bakery is exciting for many reasons," said Todd Cornwell, vice president of sales for Franz Family Bakeries "We're able to upgrade our current production lines to improve efficiencies, as well as create space for new lines in the future. This also improves our distribution hub and sets the stage for further expansion in the marketplace. We are very excited as this is another step in becoming an integral part of the Idaho marketplace and is a platform for future job growth in the Nampa/Boise community.

The Franz retail outlet is open during construction and is located at 914 Parkcentre Way in Nampa. Franz has an additional bakery outlet at 455 N. Benjamin in Boise. Hours of operation for both locations are 9am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday.
