It started as a small effort but grew into a bigger event to bring a little holiday cheer to some children and their families.
It was the first year for 'Baking for Smiles.' Marissa from FLY 92.3 gathered some friends and recruited businesses to make cookies and cupcakes with the families at the Ronald McDonald House.
They're hoping the sweets can brighten an otherwise tough situation.
"We're just really trying to bring some memories into these kids' lives. Because, right now especially it might not feel like the holidays based on what they're going through. So, anything to bring a smile on their face," said Marissa.
