IBIE Includes International Buyers Program

Dear Exhibitor:

The U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC) is pleased to include IBIE 2010 in the International Buyer Program. Through this highly competitive program that attracted over 100 applicants, USDOC is supporting IBIE 2010 by helping to build worldwide attendance through its network of over 100 embassies, consulates and commercial offices. A record number of international buyers from all over the world are expected to converge at IBIE2010. Our partnership with the International Baking Industry Exposition is aimed at helping U.S. exhibitors increase their export sales.

The U.S. Department of Commerce will assist exhibitors and potential customers during this show by providing information and export counseling services in the International Business Center (IBC) located adjacent to Registration in North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

As a special service to U.S. exhibitors, the U.S. Department of Commerce's Commercial Service is offering a complimentary program called SHOWTIME, a program offering exclusive, one-on-one appointments with International Trade specialists located in our Commercial Service offices in our U.S. Embassies and Consulates. These specialists possess a unique combination of country, business, and industry sector knowledge. The meetings, held at the convenience of the exhibitors, are the perfect setting for companies to discuss country specific strategies and business opportunities. Meetings take place at the Exhibitor's booth or in a meeting room in the IBC. We expect delegations from Brazil, Dominican Republic, Kenya, Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Spain, Russia, and Ukraine, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand, Uruguay and more.

Please direct your inquiries to and schedule your meetings in advance of the show with: Shari Stout, U.S. Export Assistance Center, Peoria, IL. (Shari.Stout@trade.gov), Tel: 309/671-7815 or Michael Grossman, U.S. Export Assistance Center, White Plains, N.Y. Tel: 914/682-6712 (Michael.Grossman@trade.gov). If you are unable to schedule an appointment before the show, come into the IBC and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Project Officer Carol Rudman, USDOC Washington, supported by International Trade specialists, Shari Stout and Michael Grossman welcome you to the IBC and encourage you to take advantage of our Meeting Rooms for which you can sign up on a first-come first-served basis. There is no charge for this service. Please drop by. We are open for business.

Cordially,
