Super Bowl Brings Out The Fans For Grocery Stores

BILLINGS – The Super Bowl boosts business about 30% to 40% for the weekend at one Albertson's store in Billings with most of the customers coming in on Saturday and Sunday before the game.

Albertson's puts out the special displays and makes up the special baked goods.

In the food industry, the Super Bowl is like another holiday, according to the management at Albertson's, which sees families preparing to celebrate the big football day.

"Just an exciting event for all," said Shawn Smith, Assistant Store Director for Albertson's on Grand and 13th. "I really believe the non-football watchers, they're in here because it's another event they can spend with their families just like a holiday. And it makes it exciting for everybody to get together and enjoy the Super Bowl together, whether football or not."
