Public relations agency Ketchum and its client Dreyer’s Ice
Cream were honored with two awards, Consumer Launch Campaign of the Year and
overall Campaign of the Year, for “Dreyer’s Beat the Blues with a Taste of
Recovery” at the 11th annual PRWeek Awards held last evening in New York City.
The agency also took home awards for its work on behalf of Frito-Lay and Kodak,
and received two honorable mentions, including Large PR Agency of the Year.

Vilsack Announces National Dairy Board Appointments

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack today announced the appointment
of 12 members to the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board. All appointees
will serve 3-year terms beginning immediately.

YoCream International Announces First Quarter Sales Increase

YoCream International, Inc., a manufacturer and wholesaler of frozen desserts and beverages, today reported the financial results for the first quarter ended January 31, 2010. Frozen yogurt sales to the general foodservice market remain robust at a growth
rate of 30.9%. Sales of a specialty product to a major national chain were
impacted by the establishment of a secondary supplier; however, the Company
expects to remain as the major supplier for this account.

Calcium May Help You Live Longer: Study

Getting a bit more calcium in your diet could help you live longer, new
research suggests. Swedish researchers found that men who consumed the most calcium in food were 25 percent less likely to die over the next decade than their peers who took in the
least calcium from food. None of the men took calcium supplements.
