Everythings coming up garbage.This April, garden center shoppers in select Walmart stores will see something other than the traditional black pots in which flowers are traditionally sold. Garden State Growers and TerraCycle will offer annuals in upcycled margarine tubs in Walmart stores throughout the Northeastincluding stores in New Milford and Torrington.

NRF: Consumers To Spend An Average Of $9.02 On Flowers This Easter

Not since 1943 have Americans seen an Easter fall this late in the calendar, but it seems the delayed holiday wont impact consumers eagerness to spend on dcor, food and even new spring apparel. According to NRFs 2011 Easter Consumer Intentions and Actions survey, conducted by BIGresearch, the average consumer is expected to spend $131.04 on everything from candy to clothes up from last years $118.60 but not quite to pre-recession levels.
