Los Angeles City Council Backs 'Meatless Mondays'

The City Council that had earlier declared war on trans fats and fast-food restaurants voted 14-0 on Friday to adopt a resolution urging residents to pledge they won't eat meat on the first day of the week. PA Governor: Ahold USA To Build New Meat Processing Facility Near Harrisburg

Governor Tom Corbett announced that Ahold USA will invest at least $63 million to build a new meat processing facility in Cumberland County and has entered into an operating agreement with Vantage Foods to run the facility and hire at least 850 new employees.
