Alpenrose Dairy Celebrates Christmas In Dairyville

Alpenrose Dairy, a fifth-generation family-owned Portland dairy, celebrates the holidays with its annual Christmas in Dairyville program. Christmas in Dairyville will be open from 3 to 6 p.m., Fridays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 7 to 23rd.

The Cadonau family has operated the dairy in Southwest Portland since 1916.

The $50 million business is centered on a 60-acre site that includes both milk processing facilities and visitor amenities such as baseball fields, a go-cart track, 600-seat theater and Dairyville, its old-timey frontier village. The non-dairy facilities are a nod to the past when Alpenrose and similar businesses wooed customers with elaborate Sunday programs.
