HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — You don't need a napkin to keep clean while eating one of the Fresh Market deli's cleverly-designed sandwiches, you need a beach towel.
Thankfully, many of the sammies are as tasty as they are messy.
We ordered each of the eight sandwiches available at the Fresh Market deli, and there are some not-everyday options – as you would expect from an upscale grocer that stocks "champagne mangos" and features a gourmet coffee-bean section.
I took the Salmon Burger with Feta Aioli ($7.99). My initial thinking was that I'd be falling on the culinary grenade if the salmon was funky or overly fishy tasting. In actuality, it was more like falling into a hot tub containing "The Fall Guy" star Heather Thomas circa 1984.
