April is National Grilled Cheese Month and Land O’Lakes Dairy Foods is once again celebrating the sandwich with their annual Grilled Cheese Truck Tour. The truck is touring the Philadelphia area preparing sandwiches outside of local retail customer stores.
“The tour is a great way to connect with current and new Land O Lakes® Deli American Cheese customers,” said Dewey Wahlin, director of Marketing for Land O’Lakes Deli Cheese. “The mild flavor of Land O Lakes® Deli American Cheese, along with its smooth, creamy texture and ability to melt quickly, makes it the perfect cheese for grilled cheese sandwiches.”
The truck will visit more than 40 local retailer stores stores through May 1 in the Philadelphia area, including Walmart, ShopRite and Acme stores. In its first week, more than 4,000 samples were distributed to consumers.
“The tour is off to a great start,” said Wahlin. “We’ve had nearly 30 events at Philadelphia-based stores and distributed more than 12,000 grilled cheese sandwiches. With that, we’ve given more than 1,000 gifts with purchase to our customers that have purchased Land O’Lakes cheese.”
At the Cheese Truck, consumers can enjoy the following:
• Free grilled cheese sandwich sample made with Land O Lakes® Deli American Cheese;

• Gifts with proof of purchase of Land O Lakes® Deli American Cheese;
