South Woodstock, VT — Vermont Farmstead Cheese Company was awarded two 2nd place finishes at the World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest for their BrickHaus Tilsit and AleHouse Cheddar. BrickHaus Tilsit was awarded 2nd place in the Open Class Semi-soft Cheese category .15 points behind the Cheese & Butter Grand Champion. AleHouse Cheddar took 2nd place in the flavored natural cheese category, just .05 points behind the winner of that category.
Winners were chosen from among 705 products submitted from around the country. The contest was sponsored by the Wisconsin Dairy Products Association.
This is the third contest the Vermont Farmstead Cheese Company (VFCC) has participated in and the third time Vermont Farmstead has come home with awards.
