Edelweiss Blossom Of Snow Sounds Like Music To Your Ears

IJsselstein – Edelweiss was almost extinct because of the film The Sound of Music. This film caused an Edelweiss–craziness and fans picked the mountains low. The plant is now a protected species.

And fortunately, we can now also enjoy Leontopodium Blossom of Snow. This new Edelweiss flowers like no other. Not just once, but twice per year; in the summer and again in the fall. Blossom or Snow has characteristic, large and star-shaped flowers. The flowers are pure white with a yellow heart. This forms a refreshing combination with the silver foliage. Did you know that you also can use this Edelweiss as a cut flower? This is possible because of its exceptionally long flower stems. Doesn’t that sounds like music to your ears?

For whom a trip to the Alps is just a bit too far, there is the possibility to admire this Edelweiss at next week at the very first edition of the Garden Trials. Come look at our booth, no. 5. The Garden Trials and Trade is one stop where 34 companies are showcasing their new introduction. One of our new introductions is this Edelweiss Blossom of Snow. We are also showing several sneak previews, so see you next week at the Garden Trials. The Garden Trials take place at the Plantarium-building on the ITC area of Boskoop-Hazerswoude on 12, 13 and 14 June 2018.
